Cats Litter:

Going to the toilet for cats is quite crucial and this process needs to be taken seriously to maintain a clean & healthy lifestyle for your cat. Cats are very picky when it comes to doing their business, so having the right equipment, plus the right setup & technique will make your cat have better well-being and be sure that your cat is feeling happy & clean.

Below we answer the most frequently asked questions to insure you have the happiest cat and a clean house:

Where should I put the cat litter box?

Locating the litter box away from everyone's sight in your house is very important.
Since it's very well known that cats appreciate privacy & quiet areas, we suggest that you locate the litter box away from the noise as this gives them a secure feeling and a better toileting experience. Always remember to never interrupt your cat while toileting.

How often should I change my cat’s litter?

It's best to scoop your cat's litter tray on a daily basis by removing any waste and replacing soiled litter to maintain 5cm.
Additionally, it's recommended to replace the entire litter and clean the tray once a week to maintain a healthy and hygienic environment for your cat. Neglecting to keep the litter box clean may result in your cat finding alternativelocations in your house.

What should you use to clean a cat litter box?

Ensure that the cleaning products you use are cat-safe, as strong-scented cleaning products can discourage your cat from using their tray.

What type of cat litter is best?

Cats may have litter preferences, so if your cat is avoiding their tray, consider switching to a new litter. To ease the transition, gradually mix in the new litter over a week or provide a separate tray with the new litter. Mixing a little bit of the old litter with the fresh litter during cleaning can encourage them to use the tray until they're fully trained.

What size of cat litter tray is best?

Your cat's litter tray should be spacious, easy to access, and allow for free movement. If you have multiple cats, it's very important to provide one litter tray per cat. When selecting a litter tray, choose a strong and durable material.

How deep should a cat litter tray be?

Always make sure there is enough litter for the cat to dig and cover their dirt.
We suggest maintaining a 5cm depth. Not a little and not too much, just enough.

Accidents at home?

If your cat has occasional accidents, it could be a sign of stress or anxiety. Avoid punishing them, as it may worsen their behavior. Instead, clean the area with a solution of enzymatic washing liquid or powder to eliminate residual odors and discourage future accidents. If your cat is consistently having accidents, consult your vet to rule out any underlying health issues.
